Like all pet insurance plans, PetPartners can't cover everything and offer affordable coverage for your pet. We have some
specific exclusions, such as pre-existing conditions, that are not covered. What's Not Covered for details.
Diagnostic Costs: (Wellness Plus Plan)
AKC Pet Healthcare Plan
We reimburse all diagnostic costs regardless of the diagnosed condition, even if we don't cover the condition.
Our Competition
Most of our competitors will not reimburse diagnostic costs for conditions they do not cover.
Ligament Tears (ACL): (Wellness Plus Plan)
AKC Pet Healthcare Plan
We cover diagnostics for liagment tears or ruptures and don't have limits on the number of ligament tears.
Our Competition
Most of our competitors have strong restrictions on coverage for initial and subsequent ligament tears and bilateral tears. Many
also do not cover ligament tears at all until the second year of your policy.
Category Limits and Benefit Schedules: (ALL Plans)
AKC Pet Healthcare Plan
We offer straight forward dollar limit amounts for per incident and for policy maximum limits.
Our Competition
Most of our competitors use deceptive incident category dollar limits and case maximum dollar amounts for specific types of
conditions. For example, a competitor may have a $5000 yearly limit for injuries, but only a $1500 yearly limit
specifically covering spinal injury treatment.
Continuous Coverage/Pre-existing Conditions: (ALL Plans)
AKC Pet Healthcare Plan
An incident with multiple treatments can span an unlimited number of policy terms - we continue to reimburse you based on the original incident and will not treat the condition as pre-existing even though the policy has renewed.
Our Competition
Many of our competitors will not reimburse treatments that are for an incident from a prevous policy term because they consider an incident from a previous policy term as pre-existing!
